Cuarteto Extraordinario
Their goal? – to dismantle the idea that Tango is stiff and static, trapped between rules and tradition.
Their approach? – colorful, entertaining, and playful, with improvised arrangements that bring into the mix an urban vibe, folklore, and musical flavors from Central America.
Cuarteto Extraordinario will, for sure, spice up our dance at Funko Tango 2024!

If it weren’t for the chance meeting of Leandro Schnaider (bandonéon) and Pablo Schiaffino (piano) in 2005, in the mythical Café Tortoni in Buenos Aires, the Tango communities worldwide would have missed the opportunity to acknowledge their undeniable talent.

Funko Tango 2024 welcomes Duo Ranas, the musical pair equally passionate about deciphering and condensing the great recordings of the typical orchestras and composing their own tunes.

Learn the intricate business of tango rhythms during a 75-minutes exclusive musicality workshop with El Cachivache Orkesta members playing live music!

We’ll (re)discover tango from a different perspective and will better understand its history.
The second half of the workshop is dedicated to individual and couple exercises.
